Rest & More Rest

Quiet & restful was not the plan.

It is actually sort of a shame we were not more active on such lovely days, but we enjoyed them none-the-less; & apparently R&R was needed this weekend.

My mind & body were zapped after quite the stressful week with the pup.  I did not realize how much Eisley’s anxiety had taken its toll, but I have been pretty foggy.  I hope I can concentrate come tomorrow.

Yesterday Dave suggested we hike — actually more of a stroll — in the woods behind our home.

A good suggestion.

An even better one was something I have wanted to do for awhile:

make it a camera date.

I am not thrilled with any of my shots but loved spending time with Dave & Eisley among nature as well as playing with my camera .

Dave, on the other hand, took really beautiful photos.

Afterward, he went to a birthday party with his sister.  I was not feeling up to it, so I remedied my exhaustion with a snuggling pup, the new sofa, dark chocolate & a classic: Roman Holiday.  I adore Audrey Hepburn — Funny Faces is my favorite — but I had never seen her Hollywood debut.

Nothing about this weekend went as planned, but listening to my mind & body & slowing down seems to be paying off.

Was your weekend loud & active or serene & peaceful?

Do you like old, classic movies?  Any favorites?

I’m glad you listened to what you’re body wanted. Some days we just need to rest.
I hope Eisley’s anxiety gets better. It breaks my heart when anyone, or any animal is having a hard time, but I’m sure she’ll pull through!
    Have a great week!

My weekend was crazy busy and active and now I wish it was relaxing and peaceful. Of course, right?

The woods behind your house are gorgeous! I would love to get to romp around out there.
